These are the foundation stones of our strategy here at Madora Africa.
Design thinking is a human-centred approach for creative problem-solving. We believe that through practical design thinking, focusing and engaging target groups, we can identify the root causes of social problems and provide holistic, high impact solutions on the African continent.
Madora Africa is a development organisation established on the principle of sustainable development. We specialise in the planning, implementing, and monitoring of sustainable and scaleable projects on the continent on behalf of donor/ private sector organisations.
Our work is built on the principle of social sustainability that focuses on youth, women and vulnerable communities, overcoming the barriers that prevent them from fully participating in society, and supporting their efforts to create and shape their future. We believe that by empowering women, youth and communities, and equipping them with knowledge of their rights and advocating for significant policies, we can build inclusive communities.
At Madora Africa, we leverage "linking and learning" to enable the sharing of experiences and lessons learnt from innovative initiatives and projects. This initiative allows successful projects to grow and scale up and the people involved to build their expertise. We believe in learning from mistakes and failure and being open to solutions that take us out of our comfort zone.
As we plan, design, and implement impact-driven projects, we also ensure responsible financial reporting, monitoring and evaluation of project activities and benchmarking with project theory of change and monitoring frameworks. We believe every activity presents an opportunity to learn first hand from people, operations and projects.
At Madora Africa, we believe that data is key to identifying, examining the root causes of social issues and understanding its impact on economic development and socio development on the continent. Hence, we research diverse sectors for partners organisations focusing on inclusion, youth development and enterprise development.
Social Entrepreneurship Development is a critical approach to entrepreneurship development that develops and funds solution to social, cultural and environmental issues. We believe that by supporting the development of impact-driven start-ups and businesses leveraging technology, we can solve hunger, poverty, poor healthcare and other societal ills on the continent.
